Week 17 Fantasy Football Stat Corrections

This article explains why there are stat corrections and details each correction made by the NFL.

Fantasy Football is a game of inches and a game of corrections. Every week, the NFL reviews tape of every game; and on Wednesday, issues their official statistical corrections. Every Wednesday, the NFL hands those corrections off to the official data provider for Yahoo! Fantasy Football. Yahoo! processes these corrections Wednesday nights, and they are processed on Thursday mornings. You can see this most often if your league uses defensive players, and you will see the majority of changes in categories like sacks and tackles. However, corrections can appear in any category. These changes can take days to appear; and sometimes, make the difference between a Fantasy Football win, and a loss.

Please Note:

• These corrections will not be made live until after the Wednesday night update is run. The update should be live sometime around 8:00 a.m. PT on Thursday.
• Stat corrections can be received and applied up until the day of the first game of the following week. Example: Week 15 stat corrections applied on Thursday, but Week 16 does not begin until Saturday, we can still receive and apply stat corrections for Week 15 until Week 16.
• Stat corrections are received from official data by the NFL and then sent to us via our data provider. The stat corrections displayed are considered final.
• Yahoo! does not pass judgment on, nor make changes to NFL scoring plays. The NFL makes official calls on scoring plays.  
• Yahoo! box scores will not update with stat corrections.
