Scripts being blocked

ID: SLN2869
Refers to: News , My Yahoo!

Resolution

Generally when scripts are blocked, there is an application, browser, or security setting blocking the scripts that allow these items to work. It's not possible for Yahoo! to know what applications you have running on your system. You'll need to disable each of these applications one at a time to rule out which may be causing the issue.

Please ensure that JavaScript is enabled on your system. To do so, follow the steps for your browser.

In addition, you can check the following settings on your browser:

  • Browser add-ons or extensions that block pop-ups and/or JavaScript.
  • Security software such as Norton or McAfee, or other virus scanning software.
  • Other 3rd party web-assistance applications such as toolbars or firewall packages that block pop-ups.

How to locate these types of applications:

  1. Select the Window Start menu and select Programs.
  2. Look for types of applications mentioned above (McAfee, Norton, Symantec, ZoneAlarm, etc.).

Note: If you are unsure how to disable the security software, please refer to the help information in the application or contact the manufacturer.
