What to do when you are unable to delete contacts. This can also include encountering a "40402" error when deleting contacts from  Yahoo!  Address Book.

There may be a connection problem between your computer and the Yahoo! Address Book server.

We recommend the following steps to troubleshoot this error:

2. Test to see if the issue is resolved.
   - If it persists, go to the next step.
3. Follow the steps in our help article about resetting your connection settings.

5. If the error continues, you can delete the contact using Yahoo! Mail, choose the link to see instructions for your version of Mail:
   - Yahoo! Mail
   - Yahoo! Mail Classic
