Unable to sign in to Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone

Description

When attempting to sign into Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone, you are looped back to the original sign-in prompt or encounter a sign-in error.

 


Resolution

Try the resolutions listed in "Troubleshooting the Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone app."

Note: You will not be able to reset the application if you are unable to sign in to Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone.

As a workaround, try signing in to Yahoo! Messenger in Mail from a desktop computer.

If you continue to be unable sign in from your iOS device, please contact Customer Care using the Get Help button in the lower-right corner.

For the fasest possible resolution, be sure to provide the following details in your help request:

  1. Indicate whether you are using your mobile Web browser or whether you are using an official Yahoo! Messenger application on your device.
  2. The exact steps you are taking, as well as the exact text of any error messages that you experience.
  3. Are you able to successfully sign in with Yahoo! Messenger for Mail?
