System Requirement to use Yahoo! Messenger for Android

This article lists the minimum system requirement to use Yahoo! Messenger for Android with Video and Voice.


Resolution

Requirements for Basic Messenger application:

  • Operating System: Android 2.0+
  • Internet Connection: At least 3G, works best on Wi-Fi networks
  • Free space: Approx. 10MB (2.7MB for the basic application, 5.8MB for video and voice plug-in)

Requirement for Video Calling:

  • Android OS 2.3 or above (OS 2.2+ for MyTouch 4G & EVO)
  • Yahoo! Messenger 1.5
  • Front-facing camera for best video calling experience
  • The other user needs to use Yahoo! Messenger for Android, iPhone, or Windows PC
