This article addresses issues where you may be unable to send emoticons in Yahoo! Messenger. When this happens, the emoticon displays normally in the text area where you type messages.  After sending the message, the emoticon does not display in the IM window.

1. Submit your Yahoo! Messenger log files.
2. Attach a screenshot to the contact form.
3. If you are using a third party emoticon plug-in, please include the name of the plug-in(s) used. Some examples are Helo, SweetIM, Bandoo, and Imenent.
