How to get the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger.
Resolution
There are two ways to download the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger:
From the Yahoo! Messenger download page:
- Go to the Yahoo! Messenger download page.
- Click Download Now and follow the instructions.
From within Yahoo! Messenger:
- Select Help | Check for Updates. A Messenger window opens in your browser.
- Select Update Now and follow the instructions.
Note: If you already have the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger, you'll see a message confirming that you already have the latest version.

Additional Information
- Uninstallation is not necessary to upgrade to the latest version of Yahoo! Messenger.
- Download time can take anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes. In addition, 100 MB of free disk space is required.
