This article provides steps for reporting abuse in the Yahoo! Updates window.
Resolution
Versions of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0 or later include "Yahoo! Profiles," a feature that allows your friends in your Messenger List to share information about what they're up to from other areas of Yahoo!.
If you see content that is offensive, please report it to us. To report the abuse appearing in the Update Window, (not abusive or offensive instant messages), please follow the steps below:
- Place your mouse over the contact you are reporting.
- In the "Updates" box next to that contact, click on the content that you are reporting.
WARNING: You'll be taken to the actual content that is abusive or offensive. - Please use the Report Abuse link to report this specific abuse.
By following these instructions, the Yahoo! Support Abuse Team will be able to identify the specific content that is abusive or offensive and take appropriate action.
