This document describes to how to log in to Yahoo! Messenger.

• Choose either of these methods to open Messenger for signing in to Yahoo! Messenger on your computer:
  - Click the Yahoo! Messenger desktop icon.
  - Click the Windows Start button, select Programs, and from the program menu, select Yahoo! Messenger.
• The Messenger sign in screen opens.

Enter your Yahoo! ID and password:

1. In the Yahoo! ID field, enter your Yahoo! ID.
   - Note: You can sign in to Yahoo! Messenger using any Yahoo! domain (for example, yahoo.com, ymail.com, or rocketmail.com) or Yahoo! partner domain. However, it is not possible to sign in to Yahoo! Messenger using a Facebook or Google user ID.
2. In the Password field, enter the password associated with your Yahoo! ID.
3. Review these additional optional Yahoo! Messenger sign in choices you may want to select:
   • Remember my ID & password: Select this option to have the Sign In window automatically display your Yahoo! ID and password. With this enabled, all you have to do is click the Sign In button. This is a good choice if this is your personal computer.
     
     Important! If more than one person uses Yahoo! Messenger on this computer (like at a public place, such as a library), don't use Remember my ID & Password. You want to have Yahoo! Messenger request a Yahoo! ID and password each time it is started on a public computer.
   • Sign in automatically: Select this option if you want to sign in automatically every time you start your computer.
   • Sign in as invisible to everyone: Select this option if you wish to remain invisible.
4. Click Sign In and Yahoo! Messenger opens.

Additional sign in information:

If you don't have a Yahoo! ID, click Get a new Yahoo! ID under the Password field to create a free Yahoo! account.

If you forgot your password, click Forgot your Password? located at the bottom of the screen to get a new password.
