Text Message and Data Charges

Description

This document explains the cost of sending text (SMS) messages, or placing Video Calls or Voice Calls, using Yahoo! Messenger.

Resolution

Yahoo! doesn't charge fees for text (SMS) messages, Video Calls or Voice Calls. All messages sent from Yahoo! Messenger are free.

However, wireless carriers may charge mobile subscribers fees for receiving and sending text (SMS) messages, and may charge Video Calls and Voice Calls as part of a data plan. Please check with your wireless carrier with any billing concerns.
