Getting Started with Yahoo! Messenger webcam on your PC

Description

This article describes how to share your webcam and view others' webcams with Yahoo! Messenger.


Resolution

To view someone's webcam:

1. Using the Conversation window:

  •     Click the Actions menu in the Conversation window, point to More Actions, and then click View Webcam.
  •     For older versions of Yahoo! Messenger:  Click the Actions menu in the Conversation window and then click View Webcam.

2.  Using the Chat window:

  •      Select your contact from the Chat List in the Chat window.
  •      Click the Actions menu in the Chat window and then click Contact Options.
  •      Click View Webcam.

To start sharing your own webcam from the Messenger menu:

For Messenger 10 and above:

        1. Click the Messenger menu and select My Webcam.
        2. Click the Actions menu, select More Actions, and then Invite to View My Webcam.

For older versions of Yahoo! Messenger:

  1.  Click the Messenger menu and select My Webcam.
  2.  Click the Actions menu and select Invite to View My Webcam.

To start sharing your own webcam from the chat window:

For Messenger 10 and above:

       1. Double-click a contact from your Messenger List and a Conversation window will open.
       2. In the Conversation window, click the Actions menu, select More Actions, and then View Webcam.

For older versions of Yahoo! Messenger:

  1.  Double-click a contact from your Messenger List and a Conversation window will open.
  2.  In the Conversation window, click the Actions menu and select View Webcam.
