This article explains that contacts cannot be deleted from the Yahoo! Messenger Mobile app and provides instructions on deleting contacts from Yahoo! Messenger on your desktop computer.

At this time, it is not possible to delete contacts from Yahoo! Messenger using the mobile interface. If you would like to delete a contact, use the Messenger program on a desktop computer (Mac or PC).

To delete contacts from Yahoo! Messenger on your desktop, please follow these steps:

1. In your Messenger List, right-click the contact and select Delete.
2. The "Delete Contact" confirmation window will appear with an additional option to delete the contact from your Yahoo! Address Book at the same time. Choose the appropriate option:

• Leave the checkbox cleared to only delete the contact from your Messenger List.
• Click to select the checkbox to delete the contact from both your Messenger List and your Yahoo! Address Book at the same time.

Note: If you delete this contact from your Yahoo! Address Book, it is permanent and can't be undone. To add a contact back in, you'll need to re-enter the contact into your Yahoo! Address Book.

3. To confirm the deletion, click Yes.

Note: This contact will not be notified that they have been deleted.
