Description
This article describe how to manually configure your Yahoo! Mail account on an Android device.
Resolution
To set up your Yahoo! Mail on Android device manually:
- Select the Email icon on-deck.
- Enter your Yahoo! ID and password.
- If an error occurs ("Setup could not finish, etc."), select Manual Setup.
- Select IMAP for type of account.
- Enter the following server setting information:
- Incoming server: android.imap.mail.yahoo.com
- Port #: 993
- Security type: SSL (accepts all certificates)
- Outgoing Server: android.smtp.mail.yahoo.com
- Port #: 465
- Keep all other settings the same.
- Complete the remaining setup process.
