Resolution

Although most new smartphones and tablets have powerful enough browsers to perform the steps below, we highly recommend that you make any changes to your password from a desktop computer (Mac or PC).

Once your Yahoo! password is changed, it will apply to your entire Yahoo! account. The change will affect all Yahoo! desktop, web, and mobile services. Please be sure to update your mobile apps and email clients with the new password as well.

To change your password:

  1. Sign in at: http://www.yahoo.com/
  2. Move your cursor over your name at the upper-right of the page.
  3. Select Account Information.
    • A new page will load. Re-enter your current password to continue.
  4. Under the "Sign-In and Security" section, click Change your password and follow the remaining steps.
  5. Click Save when finished.
