How to use a different name on message boards from your Yahoo! ID

Resolution

If you don't want your Yahoo! ID to display when you post a message, you can choose to use to have an alias display instead. A Yahoo! ID can have up to six aliases associated it, and once you have established at least one alias, an option will appear on the message posting page that will allow you to display that alias. Beneath the message post text box, you simply need to select the alias you would like under the "Identity" drop-down.

If you don't have any aliases, or would like to create a new one, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Manage My Identities page of your account.
  2. Click Add an alias.
  3. Then enter the name you would like to use as your alias and click Save.
