Downloaded attachments are always scanned for viruses

ID: SLN5008
Refers to: Mail , Mail Classic , Mobile Mail

Resolution

When you download an email attachment from Yahoo! Mail, it is first scanned for viruses automatically. Enforcing virus scanning before downloading a file is a fast and effective security measure.

Please know that automatic virus scanning cannot be turned off in Yahoo! Mail.

Note: Files that are sent using Dropbox are not scanned using Yahoo! Mail virus scanning, as these files are located on Dropbox servers.
