How to add an attachment to an email

Refers to: Mail

Description

This article describes how to attach a file to an email.

Resolution

You can attach one or more files to an email message as long as the total message size; the combined size of the email headers, message text, and attached files doesn’t exceed 25 MB. Here's how:

  1. In the window where you’re composing your message, click Attach Files.
  2. Your computer opens a window where you can select the file(s) you want to attach. You can attach up to five files at once. Select the files and click Open.
  3. If you would like to attach additional files (and you still haven't reached the 25MB attachment limit), click Attach Files again and repeat steps 2 and 3.
  4. When the file is attached, the file name appears in a blue box under the Subject line.

Note: If you are having trouble attaching a file, we recommend switching to the "Basic Uploader", which only uploads one file at a time. To do this, in step 1 above, click the triangle next to Attach Files and select "Basic (single file upload)."
