Check the Apple Store for an updated version of the app

  • Tap App StoreUpdates.
  • If the Yahoo! Mail app is listed, tap Update.
  • After the app has been updated, attempt to reproduce the issue.

Force Quit the application

  • Double-click the Home button on the device.
  • Locate the Yahoo! Mail app (if it is not listed in the first set of icons, swipe from right to left until you locate it).
  • Tap and hold your finger on the app until the red minus sign appears.
  • Tap the minus sign to force quit the app.
  • Relaunch the app and attempt to reproduce the issue.

Sign out and sign back into your Yahoo! Mail account from the app

  • Launch the Yahoo! Mail app.
  • Tap the menu icon, depicted by three horizontal bars in the top-left corner of the app.
  • Tap your account name at the top of the list.
  • Tap Sign Out.
  • Re-enter your Yahoo! ID and Password, then tap Sign In.
  • Attempt to reproduce the issue.

Uninstall and reinstall the app

  • Tap and hold down the Yahoo! Mail app icon.
  • Tap the X beside the app.
  • Tap Delete.
  • To reinstall the app, go to the App Store and search for Yahoo! Mail, then follow the install prompts.
  • After the app is installed, sign back into Yahoo! Mail and attempt to reproduce the issue.
