Check the Apple Store for an updated version of the app
- Tap App Store | Updates.
- If the Yahoo! Mail app is listed, tap Update.
- After the app has been updated, attempt to reproduce the issue.
Force Quit the application
- Double-click the Home button on the device.
- Locate the Yahoo! Mail app (if it is not listed in the first set of icons, swipe from right to left until you locate it).
- Tap and hold your finger on the app until the red minus sign appears.
- Tap the minus sign to force quit the app.
- Relaunch the app and attempt to reproduce the issue.
Sign out and sign back into your Yahoo! Mail account from the app
- Launch the Yahoo! Mail app.
- Tap the menu icon, depicted by three horizontal bars in the top-left corner of the app.
- Tap your account name at the top of the list.
- Tap Sign Out.
- Re-enter your Yahoo! ID and Password, then tap Sign In.
- Attempt to reproduce the issue.
Uninstall and reinstall the app
- Tap and hold down the Yahoo! Mail app icon.
- Tap the X beside the app.
- Tap Delete.
- To reinstall the app, go to the App Store and search for Yahoo! Mail, then follow the install prompts.
