Note: Please make sure to check with a parent, teacher, or adult in charge of the computer before downloading any software or changing any settings on your computer.

To download Windows Media Player 9 on a PC, go to the download site and follow these steps:

1. Click the Download button for the correct version of Windows Media Player for your operating system.
2. In the File Download dialog box, select Save this program to disk and then click OK.
3. In the Save As window, save the file to your desktop. Do not change the name of the file.
4. Click the Save button.
5. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, the download time might vary. Take note of the file name as you will need to reference the file when download is complete.

When the download is complete, you are ready to install the player. Close all applications before proceeding with the player installation.

1. Locate the file on your desktop and double-click it to activate the installation.
2. If a security warning appears, click Yes to continue installation.
3. The program displays an End User License Agreement. Click Yes if you agree to comply.
4. Click OK.
