Sending email attachments larger than 25 MB
Description
To send an attachment larger than 25 MB, use the Attach Large Files application from YouSendIt. Using this application in Yahoo! Mail, you upload files (up to 100 MB in size) to the YouSendIt website and send a message to your recipients that tells them how to retrieve the files.
Resolution
Using the Attach Large Files application
- Open the Attach Large Files application in one of the following ways:
- On the left side of Yahoo! Mail, click Attach Large Files under "Applications".
- Click Compose to begin an email message; click the down arrow to the right of the paperclip icon; and then select Attach Large Files.

Note: If you don't see the application on the left or the arrow on the compose page, the application isn't installed, and you need to follow the steps in the next section.
If this is your first use of the application, an agreement window opens. If you agree to the terms and conditions, click OK.
- Follow the YouSendIt prompts to upload your file and send an instructive email to your recipients.
The file remains available on the YouSendIt server for 30 days.
Installing the Attach Large Files application
- Open the Attach Large Files application in one of the following ways:
- On the left side of Yahoo! Mail, click Attach Large Files under "Applications".
- On the left side of the page, click the gear icon (
) to the right of the "Applications" label. In the Gallery, find the "Attach Large Files" application and click Add.
An agreement window opens.
- If you agree to the terms and conditions, click OK. (You must agree before you can use the application.)
Once you've installed and approved the application, you can use it as described in the section above.
Uninstalling the Attach Large Files application
- On the left side of the page, click the gear icon (
) to the right of the "Applications" label.
The Gallery tab opens.
- In the Gallery, find the "Attach Large Files" application and click Remove.
This removes the application from the "Applications" list and removes the down arrow next to the paperclip icon on the compose email page.
