What are the storage limits for files and photos?

Description

This article will tell you the storage limits within the Photos, Attachments, and Files areas of Yahoo! Groups.

Resolution

Photos and Attachments: The Photos section and the Attachments section now share a 100GB limit for each group. Any photos or files posted to either of these sections counts toward the 100GB limit. Depending on the size (resolution) of your individual photos, that 100GB could contain several thousand images or a much smaller number. There is also a maximum file size limit of 5MB. If you attempt to upload more than 100GB total or any photo larger than 5MB to your group, you will get an error.

Files: Each group has 100MB of storage in the Files area, in addition to the 100GB space for Photos and Attachments. You can upload a high number of small files or a few large files, as long as you use no more than 100MB total storage. There is also a maximum file size limit of 5MB. If you attempt to upload more than 100MB total or any file larger than 5MB to your group, you will get an error.

If you exceed the maximum storage limits for any of these features, and still want to add more content, you may either delete existing files/photos to make room for new ones, or use the links feature to point to files/photos stored on locations outside of your group, such as a separate webpage. Unfortunately, purchasing additional storage within Yahoo! Groups is not available at this time.
