Description

Learn how to track RSS feeds containing frequently changing content from your My Yahoo! page.

Resolution

There are two ways to find out if a site has an RSS feed:

  • You see the acronym RSS or the RSS icon symbol someplace on the site's pages.
  • You find the RSS feed by searching for it in the My Yahoo! content gallery.

To add an RSS feed from a web site's page:

Some websites will provide My Yahoo! as an option when adding an RSS feed. All you have to do on these sites is click a few buttons and the feed is added to your main My Yahoo! tab.

  1. Navigate to the website containing the RSS feed you want to add.
  2. Click either the RSS acronym or the RSS icon symbol.
  3. Follow the instructions provided by the web site.
Note: If you need further assistance, contact support for that website.

Some sites have entire pages of RSS feeds, and make it easy to add them to My Yahoo! using a + My Yahoo! button on their website.

To add an RSS feed from the My Yahoo! content gallery:

  1. Click a tab to open the My Yahoo! page you want to add content to.
  2. Click Content to open the content gallery.
  3. Use the search box to find one or more RSS feeds:
Note: To search for all available RSS feeds, type "RSS" in the content gallery search box; or to search for a specific RSS feed, type the name for a feed (e.g., "news rss").
  4. Click Search.
  5. Click + Add for each RSS feed that you want to add to your page.
  6. Click I'm Done.

To add an RSS feed using its URL:

  1. Click a tab to open the My Yahoo! page you want to add content to.
  2. Click Content to open the content gallery.
  3. Click Add RSS Feed near the bottom-center of the gallery.
  4. Enter the URL of the RSS feed in the displayed box, then click Add.
  5. Add as much content as you like, then click I'm Done.
