Why are my settings not retained in Yahoo! homepage?

Resolution

This is typically caused by your cookies being deleted when you close your browser. A "cookie" is a small piece of information stored by your browser to help identify who you are. Yahoo! uses cookies to keep you signed in to your account and remember your prefered settings (e.g., Page Color, Compact View, News on top, Quickview Rollover). If your cookie isn't being retained, you'll be signed out of your account when you close your browser, and your prefered settings will not be remembered.

This could be caused by either your browser settings or another application, such as antispyware or antivirus software. Unfortunately, it is not possible for Yahoo! to determine exactly what application is on your system is because there are many different software packages that could be causing the problem. For more information about how to change your cookie settings please consult your browser's help file.
