The Yahoo! Finance Mobile app is now available for Android through the Google Apps store, the iPhone and iPad, through the iTunes store, and on the web at http://m.yahoo.com/w/yfinance/.

The app allows you to follow current financial trends, a summary of major indicies, and follow your portfolios. You can also get up to the minute quotes for stocks on your mobile device.

After launching the app, (or going to the mobile website) you will see three tabs across the top of the screen: Summary, Quotes, and Daily Ticker.

The Summary Tab -
Offers the current Dow Jones industrial average, as well as the other major indicies. (Nasdaq, Standard and Poor's 500) You'll also see a trending graph that shows the progress of the Dow throughout the day.

The Quotes Tab -
By typing the symbol or name of any company, you can get the current quote on any stock. If there is any recent news on that particular company, it will show in this window.

By clicking on View My Yahoo! Portfolios, you can track the progrees of any portfolio you may have set up. This includes any portfolio you have set up through Yahoo! Finance Portfolio. You can track the progress of each portfolio by simply selecting it on your device.

Note: You cannot create or change a portfolio on your mobile device, you can only view it and track its progress. Changes must be made in the more traditonal web view, in the portfolios section of Yahoo! Finance.

The Daily Ticker -
The daily ticker is much like it is on the web. You will see current news and video feeds coming from Yahoo! Finance. It will change with the news of the day.
