What to do if you suspect fraud
Resolution
Yahoo! does not offer purchase protection or escrow services for buyers. In addition, we do not support payment processing between sellers and buyers. It is up to the two parties to make the necessary arrangements.
While Yahoo! is not involved in or responsible for the transaction of the items offered for sale through the Yahoo! site, we are concerned about the experiences of our users. Please remember that there are risks in dealing with people you do not know and that Yahoo! has no control over such risks. You should always act with care, and you should use your best judgment.
We do not suggest sending money via Wire Transfer or Bank Transfer unless you are fully protected by the payment service. It's usually best to use a service to complete transactions. Please be wary of using an escrow service suggested by the seller if you have never heard of the service. If you are suspicious of a transation for any reason, we do not recommend completing the transaction.
If you think you might be a victim of fraud, we recommend that you contact:
It may also be appropriate to contact your local law enforcement officials (through a non-emergency number).
