Finding a ticker or company in Yahoo! Finance
Description
This article describes how to use the "Get Quotes" search to find a stock or fund ticker (or other symbol) within Yahoo! Finance.
Resolution
You can get a quote on Yahoo! Finance by entering either the company's symbol or the company's name in the "Get Quotes" box that is in the upper-left corner of most Yahoo! Finance pages.
If you don't know the exact symbol or the spelling of the company's name, our auto-complete feature can help. As you type, it will suggest possible matches. When you see the correct company listed, click it and press the "Enter" key. If the company isn't listed, click "Show All Results" for more choices.
If you are unable to find your quote while using an accurate company or symbol name, please follow the steps below:
First, ensure that the company's exchange is included on Yahoo! Finance. See Yahoo! Finance's complete list of the exchanges.
Next, check the company's exchange to ensure that the ticker is still listed with them. On Yahoo! Finance, we only provide quotes for the stocks, mutual funds, ETFs (Exchange Traded Fund), and indices that are provided by our content providers. If one of our partners removes a ticker from their site, it also disappears from our site.
Please note that quotes for treasury bonds and commodities are not yet supported on Yahoo! Finance. While ticker symbols for some commodities currently appear in our system, not all commodities are fully supported.
