Can my Yahoo! ID have an "@" sign in it?
This article describes the different user ID types and what is, and is not, allowed in user IDs.
Yahoo! user IDs cannot have an "@" sign in them except as a designator between the first part (username) and the domain name.
Yahoo! has three different user ID types:
- Yahoo! ID (<username> or <username>@yahoo.com)
- Rocketmail (<username>@rocketmail.com)
- Ymail (<username>@ymail.com)
For example, the following user IDs are not allowed as Yahoo! ID:

If you register for a ymail.com or a new rocketmail.com account, your Yahoo! ID is your full email address. However, if you register for a yahoo.com account, all that is required is your user name. The domain information is not necessary.
