Unsolicited email asking for password or other personal information from Yahoo!7
Resolution
Messages sent from Yahoo!7 Customer Care will always show a
in your inbox to indicate that the message was sent from an official Yahoo!7 source. If you receive message(s) from Yahoo!7 that does not have this indicator, then it is recommended you "report as spam" and remove them from your Inbox.

You should assume that any unsolicited message asking for your Yahoo!7 ID and password, security key, or other sensitive information is part of a scam to gain unauthorized access to your account. If you received an email like this we suggest you review the following information:
- Feel free to simply delete such messages.
- Do not click any links provided in the email if you are uncertain of its authenticity.
-- The safest way to visit a website listed in the email is to type the site's address directly in the address bar of your web browser. - Contact your financial institution if you provided credit card or other financial details.
- If you have already entered your information into a suspicious message or webpage, immediately change your password and update any other information you provided.
- You do have the option of reporting the email to Yahoo!7, so we can further investigate the issue.
