How do I check the spelling in an email?

This article explains how to use the spell-check feature using Windows.


Resolution

To check the spelling in an email you’ve typed:

  1. In the formatting toolbar above your message, click the spell-check button.

    Any misspelled words in your message appear underlined in red.
  2. Right-click on a red-underlined word to see suggestions for its spelling. If you prefer to leave the word as is, just click Ignore.

NOTE: The spell-checking option is only available in rich text mode. If you are in plain text mode, you can switch to rich text by clicking the double arrow button (>>) just above the compose window.

Checking spelling in other languages:
To change the language in which your spelling is checked, click the arrow next to the spell-check button and select the appropriate language from the pull-down menu.
