This article will advise how to get your team and or league created.

Take the field with Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball, a free game that gives you the chance to manage your own team of professional baseball players from opening day right through the late-season pennant races.

While you sit back and watch your team progress through the season, we do all the hard work of gathering statistics, computing point totals, and updating standings.

Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball runs throughout the entire 2013 baseball regular season, which begins on Sunday, March 31, and is scheduled to end on Sunday, September 29.

How To Join

Please visit the Fantasy Baseball homepage to sign up.

1. Click Sign Up Now to begin the registration process.
2. On the next page, select the type of league you wish to join or create one of your own. You will need the league ID# and password for any Custom League you wish to join.
3. Now, decide if you want to join a Public, PRO, Custom League or create a Custom League of your own.

Registration schedule: 

• Live Drafts End: July 7
• Season Registration Ends: July 21

PRO Leagues

• Compete to win cash prizes in public head-to-head or rotisserie leagues.
• Entry Fee: $20 or $100 Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
• Win up to $600.

Private leagues:

If you join a Head-to-Head League and sign-up after a game week is already under way, your team/league will not begin its season until the start of the following week.

Note: Statistics from makeup games and playoff games played after the scheduled season end date will not be included in the scoring for any fantasy league.

2. On the next page, select the type of league you wish to join or create one of your own. You will need the league ID# and password for any Custom League you wish to join.

To Join a Custom League:

You will be prompted for the league ID# and password before being able to complete the remaining registration information and preferences.

Public Leagues:

1. Enter your chosen team name and preferred email address.
2. Complete the registration questions regarding notification email.
3. Select the type of draft you wish to participate in, etc.
4. Once you have verified this information, click Register My Team to complete the registration process.

To Create a Custom League:

As creator of a league, you select the League Name and entry password in addition to the draft type, roster, and scoring configurations. You will then register your team. Once you have confirmed your league information, click the Register My League button. You will then be given your league ID#. You must provide the league ID# and password to prospective league members for them to sign up for your league.

You can also click Invite Friends under "Commissioner Tools." Here, you can enter the email addresses of prospective managers to invite them into your league.

If you wish to join a Custom League or are looking to add teams to the Custom League you created, click the Message Boards links on the Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball homepage to read posted invitations to leagues or create one of your own.
