Setting up Yahoo! Mail in Outlook 2011 for Mac

To set up your Yahoo! Mail account in Outlook 2011 for Mac:

1. Select Tools | Accounts.
2. Fill in the following information:
   • Personal information
     • Full name: Type your name as you’d like it to appear when you send an email message.
     • E-mail address: Type your Yahoo! Mail Plus email address (for example, jo.bloggs@yahoo.com).
   • Server information
     • User name: Type your Yahoo! ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com").
     • Password: Type your Yahoo! password.
     • Incoming server: Type pop.mail.yahoo.com and 995 on the field beside it. Check the Use SSL to connect (recommended) checkbox below it.
     • Outgoing server: Type smtp.mail.yahoo.com and 465 on the field beside it. Check the Use SSL to connect (recommended) checkbox below it.
       • Alternatively, you can type 587 and enable SSL/TLS.
       • It is necessary to enable SSL or TLS for Outgoing SMTP server.
3. Click Advanced. If you want to save your Yahoo! Mail messages on both the Yahoo! Mail server and on your computer, check the Leave a copy of each message on server checkbox.
   • If you want your messages to be deleted from the Yahoo! server once Outlook has downloaded them onto your computer, leave the box unchecked.
4. Click OK.
5. Click the red circle at the upper-left corner to close the "Accounts" page.
6. Close and restart your Outlook.
7. Click Send/Receive.
