How to uninstall Yahoo! Messenger on Vista/Win7

Resolution
To uninstall Yahoo! Messenger from your computer:
- Select the Windows Start button.
- Select Control Panel.
- Double-click Programs and Features.
- Select Yahoo! Messenger.
- Select the Uninstall button.
- Select Next.
- Select Finished.
If you get a message stating that Yahoo! Messenger can't be uninstalled, click here to download and reinstall Yahoo! Messenger and then start over according to the above steps.
Note: It is not possible to completely remove or uninstall the Messenger feature from Yahoo! Mail. However, you can follow the instructions on this help article to turn off Messenger Chat in Yahoo! Mail.
