Moderators with basic privileges may need to request additional privileges

Description

This article explains:

  • That the ability to manage or make changes to a group can be limited by a moderator's privileges or permissions.
  • That moderators can request additional moderator privileges by contacting the group owner.
  • How to contact the group owner.

Resolution

You may be designated as one of the moderators for a group, but your account may not have additional moderator privileges that allow you to make certain changes. We encourage you to contact the group owner and ask them to make your requested changes or grant your account more advanced moderator privileges.

To contact the group owner:

  • Send a message to:

GROUPNAME-owner@yahoogroups.com

  • Note: Replace "GROUPNAME" with the group's name.

The email you send to this address will be sent to all owners and moderators of the group, so you'll also receive a copy.
