Troubleshooting the Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone app


Description

This article provides steps which can be very helpful in resolving a variety of issues with Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone including:

  • Inability to Sign-in
  • Problems launching Messenger on the Iphone

Resolution
  1. To sync your device with iTunes and back up your information, please view the article "Syncing iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch with iTunes."
  2. Install the latest version of iOS. Please consult with Apple for further assistance with installing the iOS update to prevent damage or loss of applications.
  1. Uninstall and reinstall Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone.
  2. Reset the application:
    • Sign in to Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone.
    • Tap Settings.
    • Scroll down and tap Reset Yahoo! Messenger.
    • Tap Reset Yahoo! Messenger.
