Yahoo! Sponsor Results are listings displayed in Yahoo! Search results that link to advertisements or websites for products or services. The words you enter in the Search box determine which listings are displayed. For example, if you search for digital cameras, you will see Yahoo! Sponsor Results — labeled as "Sponsor Results" — for websites that sell or provide information about digital cameras.

Yahoo! determines which listings to display based on which are most relevant to your search and which are of most interest to people who have performed searches similar to yours. Companies that advertise with Yahoo!  Sponsored Search only pay for the advertising after you click the listing to view their website.
