Resolution

You can create or join up to five groups, any combination of which may be private, public, and Fans Of Groups.

Private groups allow you to personally invite only those friends or colleagues you want to join. Each private group is limited to 500 members. To join someone else's private group, you must get the group ID number and password from the group creator.

Public groups allow anyone to join your group. To join someone else's public group, you must find that group in the Group Directory or receive an invite from a group member. Each public group is limited to 500 members.

If you don't have a whole group ready to sign up, join one of our Fans Of groups and compete with like-minded fantasy fans from around the world.

All users can join up to five total groups (any combination of Private and/or Fans Of groups), but can only associate a particular bracket with one group. For example, if you create a bracket and add it to the "Fans of UCLA" group, you will need to create another bracket if you wish to join another group. Fans Of groups are limited to 1 bracket per user, but user-created groups now have the option to allow up to 5 brackets per user!

You will know if you can add more brackets to a particular group by looking at the "My Brackets" module on the group home page. Commissioners, if you would like to allow more than 1 bracket per user in your group, you may change that setting via the Edit Group Settings link in the Commissioner Tools.

Note that public and private groups may use a custom scoring system. But all users, regardless of group affiliation, are tracked on the overall leaderboard using Yahoo!'s default scoring system.
