This article provides instructions for uninstalling and re-installing the Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone app.

Please note: To sync your device with iTunes and back up your information, please view the article "Syncing iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch with iTunes."

To install the Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone app:

1. Open the App Store.
2. Tap Search.
3. Tap the Search field at the top.
4. Type in Yahoo! Messenger and select the search query.
5. Tap Yahoo! Messenger in the search results.
6. Tap Free.
7. Tap Install.
8. When prompted, enter your iTunes Store account information. The app will then download and install.

To remove the Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone app:

1. Touch and hold any app icon on the Home screen until the icons start to wiggle.
2. Tap the X in the corner of the Yahoo! Messenger for iPhone app.
3. Tap Delete to remove the app and all of its data.
4. Press the Home button to lock the Home screen icons again.
