If your Yahoo! ID always shows up on Yahoo! Messenger as being online, even when you are actually offline, you may not have properly signed out of another part of Yahoo!.

For example, to sign in and then sign out of Yahoo! Games:

1. Go to http://games.yahoo.com/.
2. Click Sign In at the top of the page.
3. Sign in using the Yahoo! ID that is showing up as always online.
4. On the next page, click Sign Out at the top of the page.

You should now be offline.
