How to turn on or turn off the automatic start up of Yahoo! Messenger

Learn how to configure Yahoo! Messenger preferences to turn automatic launch on ("enable") or off ("disable").
Resolution
By default, Yahoo! Messenger will launch automatically when you start your computer. You can turn this feature off if you prefer.
How to turn off the automatic start up of Messenger:
- Select the Messenger menu | Preferences from the main Yahoo! Messenger window.
- Under "Category," select General.
- Under "When I start up my computer," clear the checkbox for Automatically start Yahoo! Messenger.
Note: To turn this feature back on: Check this checkbox again. - Select Apply and then OK at the bottom of the window.
