Moblog, which derives from the words mobile and blog, refers to blog content posted from a mobile device such as a cellular phone or PDA.
You can set up moblogging for your WordPress blog so that you can post to your blog from anywhere using email or special software that uses a protocol called XML-RPC.
To set up blogging by email, you'll enter POP mail settings for your Business Email account in the WordPress control panel. Visit "Options," then "Writing," and enter the following settings in the "Writing by e-mail" section:
Mail server: pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
Port number: 110
Then create a new email address dedicated to your blog. You'll send blog posts from your phone or PDA to this email address. (Because any messages sent to this email address will be posted to your blog, be sure to create an address that's very difficult to guess, and keep the address a secret.)
Returning to the "Writing" page of your WordPress control panel, enter the email address you created, including your domain name (such as 1267a@widgetdesigns.com), in the "Login name" field. Enter the password for the email account in the "Password" field.
Next you'll decide how you'll activate new posts. When you activate a post, WordPress will retrieve the contents of your email and convert it for the Web: The subject of your email will become the title of your post, and any HTML tags will be stripped from your message, which becomes the post content. WordPress will then post the message to your blog, listing the blog administrator as the poster.
To activate your blog post, you have two options:
(WordPress provides a third activation option, which involves setting up a function called a cron job. Your Web Hosting plan does not permit the use of cron jobs, so you will not be able to use this process.)
