If you set a colored border on your table, you may discover that the color does not look consistent when you preview your page.
Different browsers display border colors (like the one you added to your table) in different ways. The Mozilla Firefox browser, for instance, applies a creative effect to the border color, using a lighter and darker version of the color you chose to create a 3-D effect.

In Internet Explorer, on the other hand, the border will appear solid.

You'll find lots of small differences in the ways web browsers interpret and display web pages and applications.
