Transferring Music From Now Playing

Now Playing is the Yahoo! Music Jukebox's temporary scratchlist that keeps track of songs as you play them. It's also a tool that lets you build your own playlists. You can instantly move tracks from Now Playing to an attached portable device.

Tip: See the Using Now Playing tutorial for more information on creating a scratch playlist in Now Playing.

Here’s How

  1. Prepare your computer to transfer music to your portable device. (Remind me how.)

  2. Add transferable tracks in Now Playing as described in the Using Now Playing tutorial.

  3. To transfer only some tracks from Now Playing to your device, select the song or songs you want and drag them to the device in the left navigation pane.

Select tracks in Now Playing and drag them to the portable device.

  4. To transfer all of the tracks in Now Playing to your player, select Transfer to Portable > name of your device from the Actions menu at the top of the Now Playing pane.

Select Actions > Transfer to Portable > device name.

What’s Next

The Yahoo! Music Jukebox begins transferring the tracks from Now Playing to the selected portable player, as described in Transferring Playlists.
