Transferring Music to a Portable Player

Here’s How

1. Launch the Yahoo! Music Jukebox.

2. Connect your portable music device to your computer. (This is typically done through the USB port.) The Yahoo! Music Jukebox recognizes your device and adds it to the display in the left navigation pane.

3. Click the icon for your device to display information about the player and its contents in the Yahoo! Music Jukebox center pane.

   

   If the player's music is organized into playlists, you can view the contents of each playlist by selecting it in the left pane.

   

   Tip: Not all portable music players support playlists; see the documentation for your device for more information.

4. If you want to completely erase the contents of the player, click the Erase Device button.

   

   Tip: Not all portable music players support this feature.

What’s Next

Now you're ready to select the music that you want to transfer to your music player. There are several ways to do this:

• Select one of your existing playlists to transfer
• Transfer all the tracks in the Now Playing scratchlist.
• Drag assorted tracks directly from My Music to the player.

You can also set up the Yahoo! Music Jukebox to synchronize music between My Music and your portable player automatically or with one click of a button.
