Preparing to Transfer

Before transferring music to your music device, prepare your environment.

 

Here’s How

  1. Launch the Yahoo! Music Jukebox.

  2. Connect your portable music device to your computer. (This is typically done through the USB port.) The Yahoo! Music Jukebox recognizes your device and adds it to the display in the left navigation pane.

  3. Click the icon for your device to display information about the player and its contents in the Yahoo! Music Jukebox center pane.

    The device display shows its contents and other information, such as drive capacity and free space.

    If the player's music is organized into playlists, you can view the contents of each playlist by selecting it in the left pane.

    Select one of the device's playlists.

    Tip: Not all portable music players support playlists; see the documentation for your device for more information.

  4. If you want to completely erase the contents of the player, click the Erase Device button.

    Click the Erase Device button.

    Tip: Not all portable music players support this feature.
