What You Need
The Yahoo! Music Jukebox lets you transfer your music to portable music players so you can take it with you wherever you go.
Notice: At this time, Yahoo! Music Unlimited To Go is only accepting new subscribers through select partner channels. Yahoo! Music Unlimited for PC remains available for all new subscribers. Yahoo! Music will continue to support the To Go tier of Yahoo! Music Unlimited for the foreseeable future. If you already have a To Go subscription and a compatible portable device, there will be no change to your service.
To transfer music to a portable device using the Yahoo! Music Jukebox, you need two things:

Transferable tracks stored in your My Music collection.
- Tracks that you purchase from Yahoo! Music Unlimited or that you import into the Yahoo! Music Jukebox from other sources are generally transferable.
- Subscription music is transferable if you are a Yahoo! Music Unlimited To Go subscriber.

A portable music player connected to a computer that's running the Yahoo! Music Jukebox. Three types of portable devices work with the Yahoo! Music Jukebox. Depending on the type of music you want to transfer, you can use one or more of these device types, as shown in the following table:

Tip: If you're buying a new device, be sure it's compatible with your Yahoo! Music service.
Some of these players work "out of the box", so you can just plug them in and begin transferring music immediately. - AAC: (Advanced Audio Coding) an audio file format; AAC files use the .aac extension.
- MP3: (MPEG audio, layer 3) an audio format that the Yahoo! Music Jukebox supports; MP3 files use the .mp3 and .m3u extensions.
- My Music: your personal music collection in the Yahoo! Music Jukebox, where music that you’ve imported, downloaded, or bookmarked is stored.
- Subscription-compatible music player: a portable music player that supports Windows Media DRM (digital rights management), which the Yahoo! Music Unlimited service uses.
- Subscription music: songs added to My Music from the Yahoo! Music Unlimited library. You have access to this music as long as your subscription is current.
- WMA: (Windows Media Audio) an audio file format that the Yahoo! Music Jukebox supports; WMA files use the .wma and .wmx extensions.
- Yahoo! Music Unlimited: a collection of more than two million songs, available by subscription and for purchase through the Yahoo! Music Jukebox.
- Yahoo! Music Unlimited To Go: a Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription that allows you to transfer subscription music to portable music players; it is an upgrade from the basic Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription.
