What Is Yahoo! Music Unlimited?

Yahoo! Music Unlimited is the collection of more than two million songs you can enjoy through the Yahoo! Music Jukebox. The Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription service is a great way to get all the music you love at a very low price.

There are two convenient ways to enjoy the Yahoo! Music Unlimited library:

  • You can subscribe to Yahoo! Music Unlimited for the low monthly price, which gives you unlimited access to all the music in the library. You can play (stream) any song, save songs on your computer to play offline, transfer them to portable devices (with the "To Go" option), share them with your friends using Yahoo! Messenger, create great playlists, and more.

The only thing you can't do with subscription music is burn to CD. You can always purchase burnable downloads apart from your subscription music; if you have a subscription, you also get a significant discount on individual, burnable downloads.

  • Without a subscription, you can listen to 30-second samples of songs and purchase music to play on your computer and burn to CD.

It's easy to begin exploring Yahoo! Music Unlimited.

Here’s How

  1. Launch the Yahoo! Music Jukebox and sign in. (Remind me how.)

  2. Be sure that Y! Unlimited is selected in the left navigation pane in the Yahoo! Music Jukebox.

Click the Y! Unlimited link to access Yahoo! Music Unlimited.

  3. Browse or search through the library; anywhere you see a Play button, you can click to listen to a 30-second music sample.

Click the Play button to hear a 30-second sample of a song.

  4. When you're ready to subscribe, click the Try it Free button at the top of the main window.

Click the Try it Free button.

In the web browser that opens, follow the onscreen instructions to start your Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription.

What’s Next

As long as you keep your subscription up to date, all your subscription music is available to listen to, share, take on the road, mix, and so on. If your subscription lapses, you no longer have access to the songs, but your collection isn't deleted—it’s stored until you're ready to resume your subscription.

Of course, any songs you purchased as burnable downloads remain yours and are accessible, regardless of your subscription status. And whatever the status of your Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription, the free Yahoo! Music Jukebox application remains on your computer. You can continue to use it to manage and play music that you own and to enjoy all the 30-second samples in the Yahoo! Music Unlimited library.
