Viewing and Editing Your Ratings

Your ratings help Yahoo! Music recommend songs based on your music preferences. Your ratings also affect what music you listen to in LAUNCHcast Radio. If you want to view the ratings you've already given to songs, artists, albums, and genres, all you have to do is review My Music Tastes in your music profile.

 

Here’s How

  1. To open your music profile, do one of the following:

    • Click the View My Music Profile link at the top of the Yahoo! Music Unlimited page.

      Click the View My Music Profile link

    • Double-click your sign-in ID (located above the left navigation pane).

      Double-click you sign in ID to open your music profile.

  2. Click the Edit button in the My Music Tastes section.

    Click Edit in My Music Tastes to review your profile.

  3. Select a tab to view your ratings for artists, albums, songs, or genres.

    Select a tab to review your ratings.

    Tip: You can change your ratings at any time.

  4. If you want to change any ratings, just use the 4-star rating tool, as described in Rating a Track That's Playing.

 

What’s Next

If you change your mind about a rating you've given to a song, artist, album, or genre, you can clear the rating.

Words to Know

  • 4-star rating tool: a graphical evaluation tool consisting of four stars and a ban icon, used to rate music, artists, albums, and genre.
  • LAUNCHcast Radio: a streaming music service that allows you to create your own customized station tailored to your tastes and provides an extensive collection of other music stations that offer a wide variety of genres and themes
  • Music profile: the information that Yahoo! Music stores about your music tastes and listening preferences. Your music profile is associated with your Yahoo! ID. You can make it public to share your music preferences with friends.
  • Rating: information that a member provides about how much he likes a particular song, artist, or album. Yahoo! Music bases its recommendations on a member’s previous ratings.
