Using Now Playing

Introducing Now Playing Adding Music to Now Playing Organizing Now Playing Listening to Now Playing Saving Now Playing to a Playlist

Listening to Now Playing

The list of songs in Now Playing is your personal program of great music, ready for you to listen to. Even when you can't see the Now Playing pane, the Yahoo! Music Jukebox continues to play the tracks from your Now Playing scratchlist until you stop the music.

Here’s How

  1. Depending on your preference settings, a song may start playing as soon as you add music to Now Playing. A speaker icon (The Now Playing icon) marks the song that is currently playing.

The speaker icon appears in front of the currently playing song.

  2. If nothing is playing and you want to begin listening to the selections in Now Playing, double-click a song title in the list to start the music.

Double-click a song to start the music.

  3. Use the main Yahoo! Music Jukebox audio controls to pause, stop, and restart music play, as well as skip to the beginning or end of a track.

Use the Yahoo! Music Jukebox controls.

Tip: Don't forget to use the 5-band equalizer (located to the right of the song playing) to enhance your listening experience. With Yahoo! Music Jukebox Plus, you have access to the Boost, Preset, and Advanced features. For more information, review Yahoo! Music Jukebox Plus Help.

  4. Two buttons at the top of Now Playing give you additional control over how the list plays.

The Shuffle and Repeat buttons control playing of the scratchlist.

    Shuffle button Repeat button
The Shuffle button on.  Turn shuffle on to play the songs in random order. The Repeat button on. Turn repeat on to let the songs play more than once.
The Shuffle button off. Turn shuffle off to play the songs in the order listed. The Repeat button off. Turn repeat off to have each song play only once.

What’s Next

Of course, you can continue to add, delete, and rearrange the songs in Now Playing even as you're listening.

If there are songs listed in Now Playing when you exit the Yahoo! Music Jukebox, those tracks will still be available the next time that you launch the application, so you can pick up listening where you left off.
