Specifying Your Listening Preferences

You can specify your listening preferences by choosing how rated music influences your recommendations and if you want to hear songs that include explicit lyrics

 

Here’s How

  1. Open your music profile. (Remind me how.)

  2. Click the Edit button in the My Listening Preferences section.

    Click the Edit button.

  3. On the Listening Preferences page, define the different aspects of your listening experience:

    • In the Discovery pane, select an option to specify how rated music is used in your recommendations and in LAUNCHcast Radio.

      Choose how rated music affects your recommendations.

    • In the Explicit lyrics pane, choose whether or not you want to listen to songs that include explicit lyrics.

      Choose if you want to listen to explicit lyrics.

  • Rating: information that a member provides about how much he likes a particular song, artist, or album. Yahoo! Music bases its recommendations on a member’s previous ratings.
