Burning a CD From My Music

If you want to create a CD that contains music from different parts of your music collection, you can drag the names of specific songs or albums from My Music to the blank CD to include that music. You can also drag playlists to the CD.

Here’s How

  1. Prepare your computer to burn a CD. (Remind me how.)

  2. In the left navigation pane, select My Music to display all the music in your collection.

    Select My Music in the left navigation pane.

  3. Browse or search through My Music for burnable tracks to include on your CD.

  4. Select one or more tracks in My Music, then drag them on to the blank CD in the left navigation pane.

    Drag the selected tracks from My Music to the blank CD.

    You can also drag an entire album or playlist onto the blank CD to add tracks.

  5. When you've finished adding tracks, select the blank CD in the left navigation pane to review all music that you've added.

    Select the blank CD to review all music that you've added.

    At this point you can add, rearrange, or delete tracks until the scratch playlist is just the way you want it.

  • CD: short for "compact disc", a small, portable medium for electronically recording, storing, and playing back audio, video, text, and other digital information.
  • My Music: your personal music collection in the Yahoo! Music Jukebox, where music that you’ve imported, downloaded, or bookmarked is stored.
  • Playlist: a list of songs that you assemble and organize. Use playlists to program your listening, as well as to copy files to portable devices or to burn your own CDs.
