Preparing to Burn

Before burning to your CD, prepare your environment.

 

Here’s How

  1. Launch the Yahoo! Music Jukebox.

  2. Insert a blank CD into your computer's CD drive/burner.

  3. Click the blank CD icon that appears in the left navigation pane to display information about the CD in the center pane.

    Click the blank CD icon.

  4. If you previously burned a CD using the Yahoo! Music Jukebox, the tracks that you burned before may still be listed in the Blank CD display. If you don't want to include these tracks in your next burn, click the Clear list button to remove them.

    Click the Clear list button.

  5. Click the Settings button to view or modify your current CD burning settings. For example, you can change the format (Audio or MP3) or the speed that you want to use for the CD you're about to burn.

    Click the Settings button to view or modify your settings.

Words to Know

  • CD: short for "compact disc", a small, portable medium for electronically recording, storing, and playing back audio, video, text, and other digital information.
  • MP3: (MPEG audio, layer 3) an audio format that the Yahoo! Music Jukebox supports; MP3 files use the .mp3 and .m3u extensions.
